'Asian Wings - A Flight Extravaganza' is the theme of the inaugural international hot air balloon showcase happening in 5 northern provinces of Vietnam from November 10-30, 2013.
This marks the occasion to celebrate Vietnam hosting the 28th Asian Advertising Congress - ADASIA 2013.
The showcase will take place sequentially in 5 cities: Hanoi, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Hai Duong, and Quang Ninh, featuring 10 hot air balloons from Vietnam and other countries in the region.

In Hanoi, the balloons will freely soar from November 10-14, 2013, at various locations including My Dinh Stadium, Truc Bach Lake, Vinh Tuy Bridge, Thang Long Bridge (Ciputra), and the National Exhibition Center in My Dinh.
Specifically in Hanoi, 5 tethered balloons will fly from November 9-14, with a lantern display for 3 nights (November 12-13 at My Dinh Center and on November 14 at Thien Duong Bao Son). The balloons will be piloted by 8 Vietnamese pilots and 10 foreign pilots from 5 countries and territories: the United States, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan.
Especially, to cater to the desire for a novel experience for tourists and the public, from November 10-14, the Organizing Committee will conduct tethered balloon flights at the city centers, including fixed balloon flights, going up and down at an altitude of 40-50m, and allowing exploration inside the balloon (tethered flight tickets range from 4-6 minutes/ride, the expected ticket price for adults is 200,000 VND and for children is 100,000 VND, tickets for observing inside the balloon are 25,000 VND). In Hanoi, the tethered flight and observation of the balloon will be organized at the National Exhibition Construction Center – NUPEL (2 Do Duc) from 7-9 am and 5-7 pm every day.
The opening ceremony of ADASIA 2013 and the Asian Trust art program will take place at 8:00 pm on November 11, 2013, at the National Convention Center, broadcasted live on Vietnam Television and An Vien.
