America's top professional hero, Star and Stripe, engages in an aerial showdown against Tomura Shigaraki / All For One, with both unleashing their full Quirk powers in a battle for victory.
Hero Academy, penned and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi, follows the journey of Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without superpowers who is aided by the greatest superhero and admitted to a school for aspiring heroes.
In a gripping sky battle, Star and Stripe, the US's premier hero, faces off against Tomura Shigaraki / All For One, utilizing their Quirks to the fullest. Star and Stripe's Quirk, New Order, demonstrates its power, though victory remains uncertain.

Star and Stripe combines her Quirk with stealth bombers to strike her foe, yet her efforts seem in vain. Shigaraki's regenerative abilities allow him to recover from what seems like a nuclear-level onslaught.
The narrative suggests the villain's 'plot armor' could negatively impact the entire Hero Academy story, introducing a level of illogical survival that defies reason. Essentially, if the plot demands a character's survival, they live regardless of the circumstances, no matter how improbable their survival might seem.
Every superhero needs a formidable villain to battle against. All For One and One For All have been passed to Tomura Shigaraki and Deku, respectively. Both characters must endure every side effect to reach their ultimate showdown. Yet, Tomura seems significantly overpowered.

His regeneration ability in the battle with Star and Stripe was pushed to absurd limits. He survived a brutal onslaught from her and turned the tables. In reality, Tomura should have been annihilated or at least defeated.
Beyond plot armor, this arc also wastes the potential by eliminating America's No. 1 hero, Star and Stripe. She could have played a supportive role for the current heroes, facing both public backlash and looming threats.
However, the author uses her as a punching bag for Tomura Shigaraki to showcase his terrifying power. Star and Stripe's introduction was promising, portraying her as a brave and noble hero who lives and works by All Might's example.
Given the setup of Tomura facing Deku in their fated final battle, his survival was inevitable. Any character other than Deku confronting Tomura would be wiped out by this plot armor.

This direction made the battle between Star and him a mere warm-up. Star had the chance to showcase her incredible Quirk before her inevitable defeat. Sadly, she was a briefly shining star that quickly faded.
