Released on 20/9/2016, Firefox 49 faced a two-week delay in its actual release due to bug fixes in the preceding Firefox 48 version. After the update, users can now download different versions of Firefox 49, including Firefox Beta, Firefox Developer, Firefox Nightly, and Firefox ESR. Additionally, development and beta versions of Firefox 50, 51, and 52 continue to be rolled out.
This is Mozilla's latest competitive release against Google Chrome 53 and Opera 40. Users can explore the features independently and make an informed decision on whether to upgrade to Firefox 49 or not.

*Desktop Experience with Firefox 49
- The most significant change in Firefox 49 is the removal of Hello from the browser. Now, users can only install Hello by accessing Firefox's add-on download page.

Note that Firefox 49 for Android supports compatibility from Android 4.0.3 onwards.
To update to the latest Firefox 49, check your current Firefox version before proceeding. Users can update directly from the browser's Settings notification or download the Firefox 49 installation file directly from the Mozilla website.
