Design and Display

Huawei Nova 12 Ultra and Nova 12 Pro feature a curved front display, while the rear sports the familiar pill-shaped camera module. Both the front and rear of the phone house a dual-camera setup, rounded corners, and curved edges. Nova 12 Ultra weighs 198 grams, while Nova 12 Pro weighs 201 grams. Despite this, both devices share the same width of only 7.68mm.

On the front, Huawei equips the Nova 12 Pro and Nova 12 Ultra with a 6.76-inch OLED display offering a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2,776 x 1,224. This display features a pill-shaped hole design housing dual selfie cameras. Notably, the Ultra model comes with Kunlus glass, touted by the company as 'unbreakable.'

Technical Specifications

Huawei Nova 12 Ultra and 12 Pro share similar hardware, with the main difference lying in the processor. The Ultra model uses the Cortex 9000SL chip, while the Pro variant features the Cortex 8000 chip. Both processors support 5G connectivity. The Pro model offers up to 512GB of ROM, and the Ultra has a maximum storage capacity of 1TB. These devices run on HarmonyOS 4.0 (HongMengOS in China) and are powered by a 4,600mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging support.

A notable feature on the Nova 12 Pro and Nova 12 Ultra is satellite connectivity support, allowing users to communicate with emergency services, family, and friends in areas without mobile network coverage. Other noteworthy features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support, gesture-based navigation, facial recognition, Bluetooth 5.2, AAC, SBC, and LDAC audio codec support.

Camera System

Huawei has employed the same camera system on its two new Nova smartphones. On the rear, Nova 12 Pro and Nova 12 Ultra feature a 50-megapixel main camera, paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The main camera has an adjustable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0, supporting 2x optical zoom as well as 5x digital zoom. On the front, this duo boasts a 60-megapixel main selfie camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens.

Pricing

Huawei Nova 12 Ultra and Nova 12 Pro have been unveiled in multiple color options, including White, Black, and Navy Blue (the Pro model may have a Pink variant). Nova 12 Ultra starts at 4,699 Chinese Yuan (approximately 16 million VND) for the 512GB ROM model, while the 1TB ROM variant is priced at 5,499 Chinese Yuan (approximately 18.73 million VND).

Nova 12 Pro is priced at 3,999 Chinese Yuan (approximately 13.62 million VND) for the 256GB ROM model, while the 512GB option costs 4,399 Chinese Yuan (approximately 14.98 million VND).
