The 2021 version of MT-07 comes in dominant colors such as black, black-gray, and black-green. The bike is expected to be priced around 7,699 USD in the US, equivalent to 178.5 million Vietnamese dong. Currently, the MT-07 is not officially sold by Yamaha in Vietnam.
The 'naked bike' utilizes a DOHC PC2 2-cylinder inline engine with a 6-speed gearbox, displacement of 689cc, liquid-cooled, delivering a power output of 72.3 horsepower at 8,750 rpm, and maximum torque of 67 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The bike is fine-tuned to meet EURO 5 emission standards.
The 2021 Yamaha MT-07 employs an electronic fuel injection (EFI) system. Engine durability is enhanced with the new valve design. The bike weighs 184kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 14 liters.
In terms of exterior design, the MT-07 has been redesigned with full LED lighting, featuring smaller headlights compared to the previous version. The headlight section is angular, resembling that of the MT-09. Additionally, the bike is equipped with an exhaust pipe guard and a water tank protection panel.
Regarding the handlebars, the bike features newly designed taller and wider handlebars to alter the riding position for a slightly more supermoto feel. It comes equipped with an LCD screen displaying different metrics compared to the previous version.
The MT-07 uses Nissin 4-piston calipers for the front disc brakes with a diameter of 298mm and Nissin calipers for the rear disc brakes with a diameter of 245mm. This bike is equipped with ABS both front and rear. It features 41mm telescopic front forks and an adjustable monoshock rear suspension. The seat height is 805mm.
The redesigned chain sprocket is claimed by Yamaha to provide smoother shifting. The bike still lacks quickshift functionality. Additionally, the company has equipped Michelin Road 5 tires for both front and rear wheels, with sizes of 120/70 for the front and 180/55 for the rear.
