Just by its name, enthusiasts can already discern that this lens is aimed at nature photographers, wildlife enthusiasts, or sports enthusiasts. The RF 200-800mm f/6.3-9 IS USM weighs 2.05kg, and Canon claims that the weight distribution is entirely comfortable for handheld use. Additionally, to assist with handheld shooting, this lens is equipped with image stabilization (IS) with 7.5 stops at 200mm and 5.5 stops at 800mm (with an IS switch conveniently located on the lens barrel).
The RF 200-800mm f/6.3-9 IS USM comprises 17 lenses arranged into 11 groups, including 3 ultra-low dispersion elements. It's also coated with Canon's renowned Super Spectra Coating (SSC) and comes with a 9-blade aperture.
