If Vietnam has its 'Binh Duong specialty,' then surely the world must have a place called 'China's uniqueness.' If you've ever played GTA ViceCity, you might be familiar with the 'SEAWAYS' cheat code (underwater car), and recently, a Chinese automaker has achieved even more extraordinary feats in the real world.

On January 5th, BYD's sub-brand unveiled a brand-new SUV named Yangwang U8, designed in the style of a true off-road vehicle. At first glance, anyone can see that the Yangwang U8 bears a resemblance to the Land Rover Defender 110 in overall design but with a hint of futuristic appeal. Also at the Yangwang U8 launch event, the chairman of BYD personally drove the car to the venue.
It can be said that the Yangwang U8 is a vehicle with many fascinating and unique technologies in today's automotive world. Firstly, let's talk about the 'Yisifang' driving technology. The Yisifang technology brings four independent engines installed at the four wheel positions of the car. This provides power to the car through four independent engines and enables the vehicle to rotate 360 degrees at a fixed position.

The four-engine independent drive technology on the four wheels of Yisifang allows controlling the vehicle's movement by adjusting the torque of each wheel in real-time to assist the driver in various challenging situations.
BYD's Yangwang U8 is a pure electric SUV, and Yisifang driving technology is developed to fit both electric and hybrid vehicle platforms.

Not only does the Yangwang U8 feature unique driving technology, but it is also like a mobile device with IP68 waterproof standard and a fully enclosed body, enabling it to resist water exceptionally well.
Just hearing about it is already surreal because the feats achieved by the Yangwang U8 surpass those in the game. Currently, the world's leading automotive industries have not achieved such bold meanings as demonstrated by BYD and Yangwang on the U8. However, in this populous country, not only have the ideas been raised, but they have also been clearly realized.

Designed by Wolfgang Joseph Eiger with the 'Gate of Time and Space' design language, the Yangwang U8 incorporates many futuristic elements. However, it undeniably bears many similarities to Land Rover's Defender 110 series. With a total length of up to 5,300mm and a wheelbase length of 3,050mm, the Yangwang U8 is equipped with 20-inch wheels with tire size 275/60.
With the new technology platform, the Yisifang driving technology is equipped with four electric motors for four independent wheels. Each motor has a maximum power ranging from 220 - 240 horsepower along with torque of 320 - 420 Nm. The total power of the car will range from 880 - 960 horsepower. The Yangwang U8 is also equipped with various driving modes including: runway driving, snow, fixed circle rotation, hill driving, desert driving, stationary turning, and floating mode on water. The acceleration capability from 0-100km/h of the Yangwang U8 takes only 3 seconds.

Yangwang is positioned as BYD's newest luxury brand, announced at the end of 2022. This manufacturer plans to produce products in the luxury segment with prices ranging from 800,000 - 1.5 million CNY (equivalent to 2.7 - 5.1 billion VND). Although the selling price was not mentioned at the product launch event, the Yangwang U8 is predicted to be priced at no less than 1 million CNY.
