Explore the Galaxy Book3 Ultra - Samsung's Most Powerful Laptop Model

Finally, the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event has arrived, and Samsung is making waves in technology with the launch of the flagship Galaxy S23 series and the new Galaxy Book3 laptop lineup.

This year, in addition to the completely redesigned Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro and Book3 Pro 360, we also have the Galaxy Book3 Ultra - Samsung's most powerful laptop masterpiece, which has just been officially launched.

Although all three laptop models have many new features, the center of attention is undoubtedly the Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra. This is Samsung's most powerful laptop equipped with the 13th generation Intel Core H-series processor. If users choose the Core i9 version, it will have 14 cores, 20 threads, and a clock speed of up to 5.4 GHz.

Moreover, users can also choose a version with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU (there is also another option, the RTX 4050), suitable for light gaming and, more importantly, for performing tasks related to creative work. The Galaxy Book3 Ultra also features 32 GB RAM and up to 1 TB SSD, with an additional SSD slot available if you need more storage capacity.

Another highlight of this laptop is its 16-inch display with an ideal 16:10 aspect ratio, accompanied by a stunning Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a brightness of up to 400 nits. This screen is also said to be much sharper than previous Samsung laptops, with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz for smooth performance.

The device is also equipped with a 1080p webcam but lacks facial recognition feature. The Galaxy Book3 Ultra also supports connectivity ports such as Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-A, HDMI, and headphone jack like other Galaxy Book3 models.

Galaxy Book3 Ultra has a thickness of 16.5 mm, quite slim for a laptop with discrete graphics card and weighs only 3.9 pounds (about 1.76 kg). Unlike previous Galaxy Book models, the device features an aluminum chassis for a more premium feel but also significantly heavier compared to the magnesium alloy frame.

Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra is now available for pre-order starting today on Samsung's website with a starting price of 2,399 USD (approximately 56.2 million VND).

Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 Specifications

Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro is also a significant step up from its predecessor generations. The product features Intel Core P-series 13th generation processor along with up to 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB SSD storage accompanied by several other notable upgrades.

Galaxy Book3 Pro comes in 2 versions: 14-inch and 16-inch displays, both with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 model only has a 16-inch display version and currently supports touch and S Pen, along with a 360-degree hinge for easy rotation and use as a true tablet.

However, in terms of specifications, the screens of Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro and Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 are identical to the Galaxy Book3 Ultra model: Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels, along with a 120 Hz refresh rate. This is also a new standard and a significant improvement over the Galaxy Book 2 Pro series, which still uses a Full HD - 60 Hz resolution panel.

Additionally, the design of Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro and Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 has also evolved. Instead of aiming for an extremely lightweight frame, Samsung now focuses on a more luxurious and premium style with a solid aluminum chassis.

This makes these new laptops significantly heavier, at 1.2 kg for the 14-inch Galaxy Book3 Pro and 1.5 kg for the 16-inch model, and 1.6 kg for the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360.

However, in terms of size, these laptops are still quite lightweight and slim. The Galaxy Book3 Pro 14-inch is only 11.3 mm thin, the Galaxy Book3 Pro 16-inch is 12.5 mm thin, and the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 is 12.8 mm thin.

Samsung also brings back the 5G version for the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360. Previously, there was the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 5G 2021, but in 2022, Samsung did not release a 5G version for the Galaxy Book.

The Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro lineup starts at $1,449 (approximately 33.9 million VND), but the price will vary greatly depending on the size and configuration chosen by users. The product has already been released and will be delivered to users on February 17 in South Korea and some other countries.

Features in the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem

Samsung is also continuing to enhance the integration between laptops and smartphones, such as improving the Link to Windows feature and Samsung Multi Control.

These features allow you to control your Galaxy tablet or phone using the keyboard and touchpad on your Galaxy Book laptop and vice versa. Previously, you could only interact with Samsung tablets this way, but now users can use their Galaxy tablet as a second screen for their laptop.

Not stopping there, now you can set up for Expert RAW photos from your phone to automatically transfer to your laptop, so users can quickly edit them in Adobe Lightroom. Other useful features of the Galaxy Book3 series include Samsung Pass and Single Sign On support, allowing you to easily log in to all your Samsung apps while entering your Samsung account password only once.
