Alongside the MacBook Air M2, Apple also introduces the MacBook Pro M2 at WWDC 2022. The new version maintains the same design but upgrades performance with the M2 chipset.

The MacBook Pro M2 retains the design language of the MacBook Pro lineup since 2016, featuring a 13.3-inch display with thick bezels, Touch Bar, and only 2 USB-C Thunderbolt ports, without MagSafe or HDMI. The main upgrade comes from the M2 chip, offering around 40% improved performance compared to its predecessor. The new MacBook Pro M2 will feature an 8-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, supporting up to 24GB RAM and 2TB SSD storage. It will be equipped with a single cooling fan.

The battery life on the MacBook Pro M2 remains at 20 hours as advertised by Apple. The device still comes with a 61W USB-C charger like its predecessors.

The starting price of the MacBook Pro M2 remains unchanged at $1299 USD.
