The Galaxy A80 offers a plethora of features surpassing even the Galaxy S series, with its unique combination of protruding and rotating camera, 'New Infinity' display, and 25W fast charging technology.
Recently, at an event held in Bangkok (Thailand), Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy A80. This is the highest-end smartphone in the Galaxy A series to date, equipped with technologies not found even in the Galaxy S or Note lineups.

The standout feature of the Galaxy A80 is its innovative camera design that protrudes and rotates. Unlike other smartphones with separate front and rear cameras, the Galaxy A80 houses a single camera module. In its regular state, this module sits on the back; however, when users switch to selfie mode, it pops up and rotates to the front.

Certainly, Samsung's design of the Galaxy A80 serves a purpose. With the protruding camera module, Samsung eliminates the need to 'cut out' a portion of the screen to accommodate the camera. As a result, users can experience a full-screen display without any notches and interruptions. Samsung refers to this display as the 'New Infinity'.

The Galaxy A80's display measures 6.7 inches with a resolution of 1080x2400, Super AMOLED technology, and no notch whatsoever.

The 'chin' of the Galaxy A80 is relatively thin.

With its pop-up rotating camera system, the Galaxy A80 delivers a true full-screen experience, even surpassing the flagship Galaxy S10+.
In terms of technical specifications, the Galaxy A80 is equipped with the Snapdragon 730G chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. Thus, the Galaxy A80 matches the RAM and internal storage capacity of the Galaxy S10 and S10+, although the chipset is slightly less powerful. Additionally, the Galaxy A80 features an optical under-display fingerprint sensor, unlike the ultrasonic sensor found in the Galaxy S10. These changes are understandable as the Galaxy A series still targets a slightly lower segment than the Galaxy S.
The Galaxy A80 features a triple camera setup consisting of a 48MP f/2.0 primary camera, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera, and a depth-sensing camera for portrait mode.

The Galaxy A80's battery capacity is 3700mAh. Notably, it's the second Samsung smartphone after the Galaxy S10+ 5G to feature Super Fast Charging, with a power output of up to 25W. Unfortunately, Samsung has removed the headphone jack from the Galaxy A80.

The frame of the Galaxy A80 is crafted from metal.

It only features a single USB-C port and lacks a headphone jack.
The Galaxy A80 comes in three color variants: Phantom Black (black), Angel Gold (gold), and Ghost White (white). Samsung hasn't disclosed the specific price of the Galaxy A80 at the time of writing; however, the device will be officially distributed in Vietnam soon.
