Similar to its predecessors, the Tronsmart T6 Plus and Force 2, the new Tronsmart Studio harnesses the exclusive SoundPulse audio technology. This enables the speaker to deliver an impressive 30W of sound within a compact 206.5 x 70 x 58 mm frame. Additionally, SoundPulse ensures distortion-free sound even at maximum volume, preserving deep bass and clear vocals.
Design of the Tronsmart Studio
Crafted with a robust aluminum frame, the Tronsmart Studio ensures sound transmission without loss. Weighing just under 1 kg, it is remarkably lightweight, compact, and portable. Its wireless nature makes it perfect for carrying your music wherever you go.
Moreover, its design exudes elegance, making it a standout wherever it's placed. Essentially a rectangular shape with metal grills (fully encompassing the speaker) encased within a curved metal frame. The brand's logo is subtly positioned at one corner. At the top, there's a set of 7 rubber buttons for convenient control. It's truly premium!
It also employs a thick rubber base to support and prevent it from vibrating excessively when bass rumbles (a common issue with other Bluetooth speakers). However, at the rear, it features three ports:
- USB-C: for faster charging. Bring along your own USB-C cable for this.
- MicroSD Slot: for music storage without relying on other devices.
- AUX Port: for wired connection to devices when Bluetooth is not available. Also bring a cable for this port.
Furthermore, it's also certified with IPX4 waterproof standard. In summary, it's highly versatile and boasts excellent build quality – its body is sturdy and doesn't seem prone to damage.
The only downside in terms of design is the button control panel, which is very difficult to discern because it lacks any light, color, or other differentiation between buttons, only featuring a raised image. Here, we miss the LED lights and touch controls of the first-generation.
On the other hand, it's worth noting that this Tronsmart Studio connects to your devices for music playback via Bluetooth 5.0. From our experience, the wireless connection is quite stable within a range of not more than 10 meters. We haven't noticed any significant delay or latency, and the connection never drops at any point.
A very interesting feature of the Tronsmart Studio is the TuneConn function, allowing you to synchronize its audio with the sound of other Tronsmart speakers (up to 100) wirelessly. We think it's a fantastic feature for building an incredibly powerful sound system that covers all spaces of a venue, no matter how large.
How does the sound quality of Tronsmart Studio fare?
For its diminutive size, the Tronsmart Studio packs a mighty punch, and we mean that. It's loud to the point where it'll hit your ears before it even begins to distort. Just dialing it down to medium volume already yields a substantial sound.
Of course, we recommend activating the SoundPulse feature, as it's what makes the speaker produce the best sound possible (and it shows quite a lot). You'll be able to fully harness the powerful 30W system consisting of 4 passive radiators and 3 drivers. The result will be deep bass with very clear mids and highs.
If you're not fond of its default sound profile, you can tweak it using the equalizer in the Tronsmart mobile app. There, you'll find pre-defined options to adjust the sound based on what you're listening to (rock music, classical music, 3D sound, pop music, etc.).
Purists may not appreciate the fact that at low volumes, the speaker generates a slight background noise during quiet passages, resulting in slightly muddy sound. But hey, this won't bother most people at all, especially because if you're using it above 30% volume, it's not really noticeable.
How long does the Tronsmart Studio battery last?
After three days of low-volume usage, it still has battery left. So, we can assure you that it has good autonomy. According to the manufacturer, on a single charge, it can play music for 15 hours at 50% volume. When idle, it can last for 24 months. This is achieved thanks to its two integrated 2500 mAh batteries.
As if that's not enough, it supports fast charging via USB-C port. It only takes 3-3.5 hours to fully charge.
Is Tronsmart Studio worth buying?
If you want a portable speaker to take music everywhere, Tronsmart Studio is a good choice. It has very loud and clear sound, easy connection to all devices via Bluetooth, powerful, and has a premium design.
The only thing we don't like about Tronsmart Studio is its keypad, which practically requires you to memorize its buttons to use it comfortably. But since you'll almost always control the music from your mobile phone, this isn't a big issue.
