Unveiled for the first time at the Milan motorcycle show, the Vespa 946 10th Anniversario 2023 commemorates a decade of development for this iconic line. Initially shrouded in mystery, the rabbit emblem adorning the vehicle now holds significance - it pays homage to the 2023 Lunar New Year, the Year of the Rabbit in places like China and Korea, and the Year of the Cat in Vietnam. Limited to just 1,000 units, this special edition 946 is a tribute to the festive spirit.
While the price remains undisclosed, the 946 boasts a distinctive design that commands a high collector's value, often reaching hundreds of millions. Vespa has dedicated a separate assembly line for the production of the 946, which will also be the birthplace of the new Vespa 946 10th Anniversario. Retaining its iconic silhouette, the Vespa 946 10th Anniversario stands out with its vibrant banana yellow paint and white accent details.
A distinctive feature impossible to overlook is the image of a white rabbit seemingly flying forward, adorning both the front mask and the rear of the scooter. Departing from Vespa's traditional elegance and sophistication, the Vespa 946 10th Anniversario brings a playful and mischievous twist to the scene.
In addition to the striking color scheme and paintwork, the scooter features aluminum accents on various components such as the handlebars, saddle support, body panels, front mudguard, and rearview mirror covers. It rides on a pair of 12-inch aluminum alloy wheels with unique patterns. Equipped with 220 mm disc brakes on both front and rear wheels, along with 2-channel ABS and traction control system, the Vespa 946 10th Anniversario is engineered for safety. Powering the scooter is a 155 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, capable of delivering a maximum power of 12.7 horsepower at 7,750 rpm and a torque of 12.8 Nm at 6,500 rpm.The scooter features a monochrome LCD dashboard, rather than the color displays found in other newer models from the manufacturer. Standard equipment includes LED lighting system and an 8-liter fuel tank. The seat height is 790 mm, and the wheelbase length is 1,340 mm. It remains uncertain whether the Vespa 946 10th Anniversario will be officially distributed in Vietnam. Previously, the 946 Christian Dior edition generated significant interest upon its arrival in Vietnam, despite its original price of around 700 million VND, with instances where prices soared to nearly 1.5 billion VND.Source: Vespa
