Thanh Hoa plans to install 300 new signs at key tourist areas in the province, funded by the budget for economic development.
Thanh Hoa allocates 4 billion VND to build tourist guide signs
The Provincial People's Committee of Thanh Hoa states that the upgrading and investment in guide signs will prioritize key tourist areas, world heritage sites, special national monuments, and national monuments. This signage system aims to facilitate convenient access for tourists to various destinations.
The signboards will adhere to the standards of the Ministry of Transport: rectangular shape, made of sheet metal, with a green reflective coating, white drawings and letters, fixed on stainless steel support columns.
Guide signs will be placed in the city, townships, and along National Highway 1 within the province.
Installation period spans from 2017 to 2020. The implementation process will use a rolling projection approach for each region to ensure continuous coverage.

Before Thanh Hoa, two other locations, Hanoi and Ninh Thuan, also experimented with the synchronized installation of the tourism guide sign system. The capital city conducted trials in 20 tourist areas within the inner city, along with the two craft villages of Bat Trang and Van Phuc.
