Renowned titles like CS:GO and PUBG have fallen prey to rampant hack cheating, sometimes teetering on the brink of collapse. More recently, Call of Duty: Warzone follows suit, besieged by severe hack cheats. Despite the introduction of an anti-hack system named Call of Duty: Vanguard and stringent measures, players continue to voice grievances.
However, the online community recently lauded the sportsmanship of the Call of Duty: Warzone publisher. Notably, during their crackdown on hack cheats, Shifty—a prominent professional player and streamer—faced accusations of suspicious actions and cheating. Despite protests of innocence, Shifty sought an opportunity to prove his skills.
Responding to community feedback, the Call of Duty: Warzone publisher agreed to Shifty's requests. Yet, their chosen method to prove his innocence surprised many with its sportsmanship. Rather than relying on in-game evidence, the publisher opted for a more unconventional approach. They requested Shifty visit their headquarters, covering all travel expenses. Shifty's task? To demonstrate innocence through two stages: playing on the publisher's PC and facing a lie detector machine.
This bold move by Call of Duty: Warzone is garnering widespread support. It remains unclear whether Shifty agrees to the proposed plan.
