Mang Den, Kon Plong – a land steeped in legends and gong sounds, with picturesque landscapes, and a gentle climate merging harmoniously amidst the Central Highland breeze like a grand ode to the majestic mountains.
Invitation from Mang Den
What impressed me the most is that without going to Japan, right at the Mang Den Tourist Area, you can also admire cherry blossoms showing off their beauty. In my opinion, this type of cherry blossom is very special, the tree trunk resembles cherry and plum trees in the North, while the flowers have five petals like cherry blossoms.
In the morning, mist surrounds the villas, roads, hundred-year-old pine forests, lakes, lingering on the petals, creating a mystical taste on the mysterious mountains here. Strolling under the canopy of green trees, or enjoying a cup of hot milk coffee on a wooden chair in the breezy garden is truly wonderful.

I owe my little sister a promise to travel to Mang Den together, and she will be my free tour guide. When the car starts to climb the Mang Den Pass - the winding pass road, hidden amidst the sky, mist, and rocky mountains.
No longer the winding and twisting paths, even without a sip of wine, one feels dizzy as the road ahead suddenly leads into a relatively flat plain.
Mang Den emerges as a magnificent masterpiece of nature, with its majestic landscapes and harmonious blend of elements, captivating the hearts of all. Situated at an altitude of 1200m above sea level, Mang Den remains cool throughout the year, earning it the title of the 'Second Da Lat' of the Central Highlands.
The lush green hues of the forests highlight the splendor of the lakes, waterfalls, and streams, showcasing the abundant natural treasures of this region. At night, amidst the misty or chilly atmosphere, sitting leisurely with authentic homemade wine feels exquisite, as if hearing the breath of the mountains, trees, and the calls of the forest creatures, including frogs.
During the campfire nights accompanied by the echoing sounds of jungle gongs, I also make sure to find a grassy patch or a secluded corner to immerse myself in the romantic moments beneath the starry sky.
It will be an amazing experience for me, as Mang Den is renowned as one of the most beautiful places for stargazing in Vietnam. Absolutely fantastic!

With each step amidst the pristine wilderness, amidst the rustling of leaves, I am suddenly surprised to come across a serene lake reflecting the sky, and my ears awaken to the lively sounds of the cascading waterfall producing foamy white froth.
Subsequently, the stream meanders through rugged terrain, its murmurs urging travelers to explore the serene yet intense life of the grand mountain forests. Amidst this natural panorama lies a pine forest planted decades ago, its lush greenery swaying across the high and low slopes.

Mang Den exudes a wild and pure beauty reminiscent of a young countryside girl: Simple, unassuming, and innocent. Farewell to Mang Den, with a promise to return.
I vividly remember the innocent gaze of little Xe Dang, the babbling of the stream whispering like secrets of the mountains and forests. I recall the warmth of being wrapped in a cozy blanket, the distant echo of temple bells, and the scent of incense wafting through the tranquil air.
I reminisce about the glistening dew lingering on the leaves, the mystical and sacred tales woven into the fabric of this land. I long for the rustic, wild, and pure essence of the 'Sleeping Princess in the Misty Realm.' Until the day we return.
