1. iOS 13 Officially Unveiled: Dark Mode, Apps Launching Twice as Fast, and Extensive Interface Changes
As the time has come again, Apple officially revealed the iOS 13 version at the WWDC 2019 event last night.
DARK MODE

The most significant change on iOS 13 is the introduction of Dark Mode with a dominant black background. This is something users have likely been eagerly anticipating. Dark Mode will provide iPhone users with OLED displays a better experience with deep black backgrounds, simultaneously enhancing battery life. Additionally, using Dark Mode will make it more comfortable for users' eyes in low-light conditions.
APPLE MUSIC

The feature of lyrics scrolling over the music background has become quite familiar in today's music apps. Apple recognizes its importance and has integrated it into the Apple Music app.
PERFORMANCE
iOS 13 continues to prioritize performance. Apple has increased the FaceID screen unlock speed by 30%, doubled the app launch speed, and reduced app sizes by 50% to save storage space for users.
MEMOJI

Apple has just added a variety of new memoji with numerous skin tones, facial features, expressions, and different styles. Users can use them in iMessage, Mail, or even third-party chat apps like WeChat.
PHOTOS AND CAMERA

The Photos app now allows more powerful editing. Users can delve deeper into adjusting brightness, color contrast, detail, and add filters. Additionally, videos can now be rotated horizontally for convenient adjustments.

In the camera app, the Portrait Lighting mode for portrait photos with a white background will give you 'artistic' shots comparable to professional studios.

Apple will use AI to eliminate duplicate images, screenshots, or receipt photos. The Photos interface also has an update with the Year/Month/Day selection feature for users to conveniently review photos based on specific time milestones.

BETTER SECURITY

The new Sign in with Apple feature enhances device security when logging into social networks. Each time you log in, users are allowed to choose a disposable email address (for example, [email protected]) to send to third-party service providers. Of course, all emails from service providers will be forwarded to your real email address.
INTERFACE OVERHAUL

Not stopping there, Apple also revamps the interfaces of default iOS apps like Reminder, Note, Mail, or Apple Maps. Reminder is organized into distinct sections, appearing clearer and more streamlined than the current interface. Apple Maps features a lifelike Street View interface, allowing users to save multiple favorite locations for direct navigation. Mail adopts a Desktop-like interface.
