iOS 14.7 was released a week ago and it brought some notable changes for iPhone users such as support for the MagSafe Battery Pack for iPhone 12, support for combining Apple Card accounts, new timer management features for HomePod users, and more. As mentioned by Mytour.vn, the iOS 14.7.1 update has been released to address issues affecting the connection between iPhone and Apple Watch.
iOS 14.7.1 Emerges with Fix for Apple Watch Unlock Bug
In a support document, Apple explained: 'When you have Unlock with iPhone feature enabled, unlocking your iPhone will unlock your Apple Watch, as long as you're wearing it. An issue in iOS 14.7 affected the ability to unlock Apple Watch for models of iPhone with Touch ID'.
Apple promised to address the issue last week and the result is the release of iOS 14.7.1. The release notes for iOS 14.7.1 state: 'iOS 14.7.1 addresses an issue where models of iPhone with Touch ID were unable to unlock paired Apple Watch using Unlock with iPhone feature. This release also provides important security updates and is recommended for all users'.
It's possible that iOS 14.7.1 will be the last update before Apple releases iOS 15 this fall. You can install iOS 14.7.1 by navigating to the Settings app on your device, selecting General, then tapping Software Update.
