The most significant change in iOS 15 is the new Focus mode (formerly known as Concentration mode), allowing you to select apps and people you want to receive notifications from and adjust the focus depending on what you're doing. Facetime and Messages have been upgraded on both iPhone and iPad. Facetime now supports spatial audio and reduces surrounding noise, while people can join Facetime calls via shareable links on the web, Windows, and Android. Keeping track of what your friends and family share with you in Messages will also be easier with dedicated tabs in the Apple News, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Photos apps.
iOS 15 introduces the Live Text feature, functioning similarly to Google Lens. This feature can extract text from images, screenshots, and you can copy/paste, look up, translate, and share text. Additionally, Maps, Weather, and Photos apps also have some new features. Spotlight searches now have richer results, including your own photos, as Apple uses machine learning technology to identify content within each image.
Quick Notes on iPad are now a system-wide feature. Simply swipe up from the bottom right corner of the screen to jot down some notes using the keyboard or Apple Pencil.
One anticipated feature missing from the launch of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 is SharePlay. It allows you to watch movies, shows, and listen to music together with friends via FaceTime, and you can share your screen with them. Apple will release this feature in subsequent OS updates.
Speaking of Apple Watch, the watchOS 8 update doesn't bring too many features, mainly focusing on mindfulness and health, including some new workout categories. Apple Watch is now more deeply integrated with the iPhone, with features including Focus mode support and Contacts app.
Following the tvOS 15 update, Apple TV now supports spatial audio including AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. You can also connect multiple HomePod Mini speakers to the Apple TV 4K and use them as default speakers.

Meanwhile, watchOS 8 supports Apple Watch Series 3 and newer devices.
