iOS 16 introduces a convenient feature allowing users to access previously connected Wi-Fi passwords on their devices. Whether you're out with friends or family and need to share a Wi-Fi password, here's how you can quickly retrieve and share it.
To access this feature, simply navigate to Settings → Wi-Fi → select the (i) icon next to the Wi-Fi network name. You'll find the Password field within the network details, and tapping on it will reveal the password. Note that Face ID or Touch ID authentication may be required to view the password. This method is quite convenient for every individual as we sometimes forget our Wi-Fi passwords. It's handy for situations when you forget your Wi-Fi network and need to reconnect. There's an added option for quickly copying the password.
Alternatively, within the Wi-Fi section, you can tap on 'Edit' in the top corner. From there, the iPhone will prompt you to authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID and then take you to a page displaying all previously connected Wi-Fi networks. Each time you tap on the (i) icon next to a Wi-Fi name, the password will be displayed, making it convenient for us to recall old passwords. Note that if the Wi-Fi location changes its password, the iPhone will only retain the old password.
