Today, a leak has revealed information indicating that iOS 17 will bring a new Apple Maps experience to the iPhone, integrating detailed turn-by-turn directions into the lock screen without occupying the entire display.

In iOS 17, when users utilize the Apple Maps navigation feature and lock their iPhone, the app will no longer dominate the entire lock screen. According to Twitter user Analyst941, this will change in iOS 17 as the Apple Maps navigation will only occupy a portion of the lock screen, while app notifications, the camera button, or flashlight will remain accessible at the bottom.

Sources indicate that app notifications will still be accessible by swiping up on the screen, while unlocking the iPhone will remain a seamless process. According to Analyst941, the new Maps lock screen interface will be available on 'all iPhones.'
