iOS 8 - Switching Network Modes on iPhone, iPad

Switching network modes allows you to choose the appropriate mode when using the internet on your phone, to achieve the highest network speed, you can choose 3G or LTE.

Currently in Vietnam, we still cannot use the LTE network speed, so the highest speed is still only at 3G. To choose the network speed on our iPhone and iPad running iOS 8, follow these steps:

Step 1 : Go to the Settings section.

Step 2 : Select the Cellular section.

Step 3: Find and click on the Voice & Data option.

Step 4: Choose the network speed you want to use, depending on your provider's allowance.

- LTE offers the highest data speed and is the fastest data service available, but it adversely affects your iPhone's battery performance.

- 3G provides moderate mobile data transfer speed.

- 2G (Edge) is relatively slower for mobile data and is best suited for times when not much activity, other than transmitting small amounts of text and data, is anticipated.

Step 5: Tap on Cellular in the top left corner to go back and save.
