Apple previously had this feature in iOS 5 and 6, allowing users to send a regular post from the Notification Center. However, this feature was removed in iOS 7. Therefore, users wanting to post to Facebook or Twitter had to jailbreak the operating system. With a convenient app called TapToShare on iOS 8, you can now do this on iPhone/iPad easily without jailbreaking.
To achieve this, follow these steps:
Step 1: Download TapToShare for iOS 8 and above devices.
Step 2: Swipe down the Notification Center, tap on Edit, add the TapToShare widget by tapping the + icon next to the widget name.
Step 3 : Your phone is now ready to let you post to Facebook/Twitter directly from the home screen on the notification center by:
- Swipe down the Notification Center.
- Tap on the Today tab.
- Select TapToShare.
- Tap on Tap to post for Facebook / Tap tweet for Twitter
You can also remove Facebook or Twitter posts, or both, from the notification center by:
- Open TapToShare
- Tap on settings (Gear icon)
- Switch Off whichever you prefer.
As introduced above, we've shown you the quickest way to post to Facebook, Twitter via the notification center without accessing Facebook. Wishing you success.
