- Your device will lose Jailbreak when upgrading to iOS 8, and currently, there's no tool available to Jailbreak this latest iOS 8 version. So, make a wise decision before upgrading.
- You won't be able to revert to iOS 7.1.2 once you've upgraded to this official iOS 8 version because Apple will soon stop signing iOS 7.1.2.
There are 2 methods to upgrade your device to iOS 8 for you to choose from:Method 1. Direct Upgrade via OTA (For non-Jailbroken devices)
Enable Internet connection via WIFI or 3G on your device. For stable transmission without interruption during the upgrade process, you should choose WIFI for internet connection.
Go to Settings > General >Software Update to check for updates and upgrade to iOS directly on your device.
Note: For non-Jailbroken devices, you can still apply the upgrade via iTunes normally if you prefer not to update directly on the device via OTA.
Method 2. Upgrade via iOS 8 Firmware File with iTunes (For Jailbroken devices)

- Install iTunes on your computer, make sure you're using the latest version for stability and optimal compatibility with your device. (Current latest version is 11.4.0.18)

- The official iOS 8 Firmware installer. Depending on your device, choose the appropriate iOS 8 Firmware file (*.ipsw format) that matches your device.

Step 1: Download the iOS 8 Firmware file (*.ipsw format) to your computer or laptop.
