They emphasize that travelers with proper documentation, a clear travel itinerary, and proof of coming to Singapore solely for tourism or transit purposes will still be allowed entry without any issues.
Do layovers in Singapore require immigration procedures and allow exit? According to the Agreement on Visa Exemption for Citizens of Vietnam and Singapore, effective from November 10, 2003: Vietnamese citizens with ordinary passports (OP) will be exempted from visas when entering Singapore for a stay of fewer than 30 days. However, the passport must be valid for at least 6 months, have a round-trip or onward ticket (if in transit in Singapore), possess sufficient finances to cover the stay in Singapore, or meet the necessary conditions for onward travel to another country, including obtaining a visa if required by the third country.
