Hello everyone, I recently purchased a brand new iPhone 5S directly from Apple and I'm unsure whether I should jailbreak my iPhone or not. Can anyone tell me if jailbreaking is harmful for iPhone? I've read a guide on jailbreaking iOS 8.4 and it seems quite easy to do.

Hello! In reality, jailbreaking an iPhone has both advantages and disadvantages. On the hardware side, it doesn't have any impact, only the software might face some difficulties if you install too many unlicensed applications on the device.
When you jailbreak, you can install more applications, and Cydia apps are quite useful. However, they are all unauthorized apps not approved by Apple. While developers make them compatible with iOS, there's no guarantee they won't have bugs.

So, jailbreaking allows us to install more apps and deeply intervene in the operating system without affecting the hardware. If there's an issue, you can simply remove that app or restore your iPhone to undo the jailbreak.
