Is Samsung preparing to launch its maiden smart ring?

Rumors abound that Samsung is in the process of developing a smart ring with the ability to monitor health, activity, and sleep.

This plan seems increasingly feasible as of late, with the company taking steps to trademark several names for this product. The first trademark registered is Curio, followed by two more names highlighted by GalaxyClub: Galaxy Feel and Galaxy Gila. Subsequently, Circle, Galaxy Ring, Galaxy One, Index, Insight, Pulse, and Rythym have been included in this trademark list. However, these trademark names may have a close connection to the ring's features.

Trademark registration regions encompass Australia, Norway, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. According to the company, the registered trademarks may be related to the product name or software specifically designed for the ring, used for tracking, monitoring, collecting, detecting, identifying, storing, transmitting, managing, and evaluating biometric and physiological data, vital signs, and personal health records, providing medical advice.

Samsung has registered approximately 10 different brand names, with Galaxy Ring emerging as the top contender for this position. However, it may not be until the first half of 2024 that Samsung releases this blockbuster.
