What's New with the iPad Gen 10 2022? Let's explore the details of this device with Mytour's review.

Changes in Design in the Upgrade

Let's evaluate the design of the iPad Gen 10 2022. Compared to the previous generation - iPad Gen 9, the new device has a noticeable difference. Apple has brought the design style of the iPad Air to the iPad Gen 10, making it difficult to distinguish between the two products. Instead of using soft rounded corners, the iPad Gen 10 features a square design, with sharp, powerful, and distinctive edges and back surfaces.

Good news for iFans, Touch ID is integrated into the Power button instead of the Home button on the iPad Gen 10 series, optimizing the four edges to increase the screen size. The iPad Gen 10's display has been upgraded from 10.2 inches to 10.9 inches, providing a wider viewing space without significantly changing the device's size. The overall dimensions of the 10.9-inch iPad 2022 are 248.6 x 179.5 x 7mm with a weight of 477g (for the Wi-Fi version) or 481g (for the Cellular version). Although it hasn't achieved the slimness of the iPad Air, when used with a case or keyboard, the iPad Gen 10 still feels great to hold. The device is made from premium aluminum and combined with toughened glass on the front, ensuring excellent protection for the internal components. The device also retains the exquisite rounded corners at all four angles, providing a superb user experience.

Additionally, we can't overlook the new features on the iPad Gen 10. Perhaps the most notable change is the switch from Lightning port to USB-C, a major plus for many users due to the convenience and ubiquity of this port. The device also features a horizontally positioned selfie camera, making it easier for users to take photos. Overall, the iPad Gen 10 2022 is a luxurious and sleek product, with many useful new features that users appreciate and positively respond to.

Display Quality

Let's take a closer look at the display quality of the iPad Gen 10 2022. The first thing to know is that the iPad Gen 10 features a Liquid Retina IPS LCD display, with the size increased from 10.2 inches to 10.9 inches compared to the previous generation. The larger screen allows you to enjoy movies and games with a wider viewing angle. The resolution of 1640 x 2360 pixels and a pixel density of 264 ppi provide sharp images, meeting users' needs effectively.

However, there are still some areas that need improvement. The brightness of the screen only reaches 500 nits, making it quite difficult to see when used outdoors. But it's okay because the screen features True Tone technology, which adjusts brightness and color balance harmoniously with the user's eyes as environmental conditions change. Additionally, the screen has not been fully laminated and lacks anti-glare coating. This may create a difference when compared to the iPad Air series.

Camera

The iPad Gen 10 2022 features significant design changes and upgrades to the camera. This detail is crucial and cannot be overlooked when evaluating the device. Compared to its predecessor, the iPad Gen 10 excels with a single rear camera upgraded to 12MP resolution and f/1.8 aperture. This camera also features autofocus and beautiful wide-angle shooting capabilities. You can also record high-quality videos at 40@60fps with the rear camera of the iPad Gen 10. The front camera of the device has also been upgraded to 12MP resolution, f/2.4 aperture, and the ability to shoot ultra-wide-angle shots at 122 degrees.

This camera also supports 1080p video recording and CenterStage feature. Especially, the position of the front camera has been changed to be more convenient for users. With these significant improvements, the iPad Gen 10 2022 meets users' daily photo and video shooting needs. Although it cannot be compared to professional devices, for a versatile tablet like the iPad Gen 10, its camera remains very useful.

Accessories

If you're looking to get creative or need an accessory to interact with the iPad Gen 10 screen, then the Apple Pencil 1 is an excellent choice. However, if you're expecting a stylus with more features, you might be disappointed because the iPad Gen 10 still uses the Apple Pencil 1 instead of the Apple Pencil 2 like many other iPad models. The Apple Pencil 1 has a smooth design and lacks a magnet, so you can't attach it to the side of the iPad for wireless charging. Additionally, since the iPad Gen 10 uses a USB-C port while the Apple Pencil 1 has a Lightning charging tip, you'll need to purchase an adapter cable to charge the pen. However, if you purchase a new Apple Pencil 1 for use with the iPad Gen 10, you'll receive a complimentary adapter cable for charging. If you already own an Apple Pencil 1, you'll need to purchase an additional adapter cable for $9. Although this may be a bit inconvenient, if you want to maximize the creative potential of the iPad Gen 10, using the Apple Pencil 1 is still an excellent choice.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, the iPad Gen 10 2022 offers a luxurious and modern design, powerful performance, and many convenient features. Despite being priced higher than some other tablets on the market, if you're a fan of Apple products or in search of a versatile tablet, then the iPad Gen 10 is definitely an excellent choice.
