The new champion of League of Legends will hold the title Void Empress and is expected to be an extremely imbalanced champion.
In addition to the exciting developments of MSI 2022, the development roadmap for League of Legends champions has attracted a lot of attention from gamers. Yesterday - May 18th, Riot unexpectedly released two videos related to the new champion Bel'Veth, bearing the title Void Empress. Both of these videos were placed in private mode, and Riot plans to release these teasers on May 20th.

Not stopping there, the Skinspotlight channel also discovered some very noteworthy dialogues of Bel'Veth on the PBE server, which may reveal a bit about this champion's abilities. Specifically, these dialogues show that Bel'Veth is aware of the father-daughter relationship between Kassadin and Kai'Sa, as well as revealing that the Watchers are the true enemies of the world. Additionally, there are some dialogues related to Vel'Koz and Malzahar.

However, what's notable here is that these dialogues all appear when Bel'Veth scores a takedown, is defeated, or resurrects while in the form of a specific champion. This means that in Bel'Veth's skill set, this champion has the ability to shapeshift or possess the body of an enemy or ally champion. Moreover, the duration of shapeshifting will be much longer than other champions seen so far because Bel'Veth has dialogues when resurrecting in the form of another champion.

This is a much more powerful ability than Viego's 'possessing bodies' or Sylas's ultimate copying. It's not out of the question that Bel'Veth can transform into enemy champions, allies comfortably, and potentially use the skills of that target for a very long time. Additionally, Kai'Sa's background changing to reflect being invaded by Bel'Veth further reinforces the feasibility of this idea.

With the information above, the community's excitement about the Void Empress only grows as this champion not only possesses great power but also strongly influences the storyline. We hope that Riot Games will not disappoint gamers and will turn Bel'Veth into a successful champion rather than following the 'elephant's head, mouse's tail' pattern like Viego's event chain.
