When it comes to innovation, creativity in the laptop industry, ASUS always comes to mind. They constantly experiment and incorporate the latest technologies into their products. After the trend of laptops with multiple screens emerged, ASUS was one of the pioneers to widely commercialize it.
Recently, the company officially launched the ZenBook Duo 14 UX482, a very worthwhile upgrade from its predecessor. Let's dive into what makes this upgrade worthwhile in this article.
Enhanced Second Screen Display Quality

ASUS shared that in the previous generation of Zenbook Duo, it was the first time the company integrated a flat secondary screen with the keyboard. After a while, the community feedback was that this screen had poor viewing angles, low brightness, and color distortion.
Multitasking experience was also uncomfortable because when you tried to drag tabs between these two screens, you could clearly see the difference.
In this year's ZenBook Duo generation, the secondary screen has been significantly improved, with a 7-degree elevation angle. Along with that, the display quality and brightness are now comparable to the main screen, so this time it won't dampen your mood while using it.

ASUS has collaborated with software companies to optimize specifically for graphic applications like Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and After Effects. They've transformed the ScreenPad Plus into a practical control panel rather than just expanding display space.

The secondary screen has been matte-coated and still supports full touch with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. It also comes with the ASUS Pen for increased accuracy when writing, drawing, or taking notes.
Talking about the main display, the ZenBook Duo 14 UX482 features a 14-inch Full HD display with a 4mm-thin NanoEdge bezel on all four sides, offering a screen-to-body ratio of up to 93%.

The display quality is excellent with 99% sRGB color gamut coverage certified by PANTONE, and a brightness of 400 nits, ensuring good visibility even outdoors.
Sleek and Elegant Design

Hearing about a dual-screen laptop might sound bulky, but in reality, the Zenbook Duo 14 is quite compact. This is partly due to its 14-inch display size, along with its slim profile of just 17mm thickness and weighing only 1.7 kg. ASUS proudly claims this as the world's thinnest and lightest dual-screen laptop.
When folded, it looks no different from other slim and light Zenbook laptops, very elegant and sophisticated.

Speaking of improvements, a commendation for the ErgoLift hinge design for the secondary screen. Besides enhancing the display quality mentioned earlier, it also improves the efficiency of the cooling system.
This could be considered the biggest difference from the previous generation Zenbook Duo because having the screen integrated with the keyboard right above the cooling fan area may reduce its longevity over time.
Significant Performance Boost with Intel Gen 11

The ZenBook Duo 14 UX482 is equipped with the 11th Gen Intel Core processor, delivering 40% higher performance compared to its competitors thanks to ASUS' exclusive AIPT technology with a TDP setting of 28W instead of 15W.
The highest-end version distributed in Vietnam will feature the i7-1165G7 chip, 16 GB RAM LPDDR4x 4267MHz, 1 TB PCIe SSD, and MX450 GPU ensuring smooth performance for tasks ranging from light to heavy, from web browsing to image and video editing.
There's another option with the i5-1135G7 chip, 8GB RAM, 512GB PCIe SSD, and NVIDIA MX450 GPU, priced at 33.99 million VND. If you need more power, opt for the i7 version priced at 39.99 million VND.

The device is fully equipped with various connectivity options including HDMI, USB Type-A, MicroSD card reader, 3.5mm audio jack, and 2 Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports supporting Power Delivery charging standard, high-speed image output, and providing up to 40 Gbps bandwidth.
The Zenbook Duo UX482 features a 70 WHR battery, USB-PD standard charging. The company claims the battery life can reach up to 17 hours continuously. In real-world sharing sessions, they mentioned the device can last from 7 to 8 hours for office needs, quite decent for a day's work.
