In patch 12.12, Zeri has been nerfed eight times despite her introduction to League of Legends less than half a year ago.
If you've been a long-time League of Legends player, you're likely familiar with the meme 'Champion A is too strong, nerf Akali.' Originating from Riot Games consistently reducing Akali's power, it stems from her versatile mobility tools and substantial damage, making her challenging for skilled players to counter.

After briefly abandoning the habit of nerfing Akali, Riot Games appears to have found their next victim in Zeri. Recently, the League of Legends champion development team announced the latest changes they will implement in patch 12.12. It's not surprising that Zeri continues to be on the nerf list, given the character has benefited significantly from the previous resilience upgrade.

Introduced in patch 12.2, Zeri has been in League of Legends for less than 5 months. However, within this short period, Zeri has undergone comprehensive nerfs, affecting basic stats, skill damage, and even the interaction between her ultimate and Runaan's Hurricane. Including the upcoming nerfs in patch 12.12, this champion will have seen her strength reduced eight times in a very brief timeframe.

Zeri seems to be following a similar path to Akali, sharing traits such as excessive mobility and devastating damage. Notably, her E - Surge of Voltage provides Zeri with the ability to glide, traverse walls, and deal damage to multiple opponents. Being a hybrid damage dealer, opponents find it challenging to build items specifically to counter her.
Zeri remains formidable even after the resilience update and the surge in strength among Marksmen. Despite being nerfed on June 9th, she continues to be among the highest-rated Marksmen. With her inherently potent skill set, it appears Zeri will face prolonged periods of nerfs in the future.
