On July 11, the Provincial People's Committee office in Quang Binh announced that they will issue certificates for 'Conquering Son Doong - the world's largest cave' to tourists who have completed the tour to Son Doong Cave in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.
As per the recently approved trial exploitation plan, the tours are set to commence in August. In February and March 2014, there will be two trips per month for the 7-day, 6-night tour and three trips for the 5-day, 4-night tour. Each tour will not exceed 6 tourists.
Following this period, if conditions permit, continuous exploration is planned from February to August each year (dry season).
This will be a unique tourism product of international standards, catering to high-quality tourists with substantial spending capacity.
