Faker and his teammates still haven't 'locked in' the CKTG 2023 skins
One of the most anticipated aspects of Worlds is the championship skin lineup that will be released the following year. In recent years, the quality of CKTG skins has significantly improved. This increases fans' anticipation, especially in 2023, when the reigning champions are T1 led by the legendary Faker. With Faker and his teammates' popularity, it's no surprise if T1's CKTG skins become a major focal point of community attention next year.
Previously, as known, there have been many rumors about which champions T1 will choose for the CKTG 2023 skins. Specifically, Jayce (Zeus), Lee Sin (Oner), Ahri (Faker), and Jinx - Bard will belong to T1's Bot Lane. However, ultimately, these are just rumors and preliminary information from T1 players. There hasn't been any official confirmation about Faker and his teammates' choices, especially when Keria is still very hesitant because he couldn't get the CKTG Lux skin as desired.
Recently, during his stream, Faker himself expressed his intention to 'make a U-turn.' Specifically, T1's Mid Laner revealed: 'I've actually decided not to choose Ahri for the skin. Really. I think Ahri already has too many skins. I've said it before. Instead, I'll choose Orianna. I think Orianna will be better.'
Not only Faker but also his apprentice Keria has yet to finalize which champion will receive the CKTG skin. On the morning of December 22nd (Vietnam time), Keria was still conducting a final survey before making a decision between 2 champions: Renata and Bard. And in a new development, Keria has made the final decision with the champion Renata Glasc.
For the T1 stars, in reality, the profit from skins will be significant, but more importantly, it must be the champion they truly like. Because this will be the most special CKTG skin line. It's been over 6 years since the last time SKT T1/T1 won a championship at the tournament. There have been too many ups and downs for the eventual championship in a season where perhaps even the T1 players themselves have little confidence in winning the championship. And because of that miraculous journey, it makes the CKTG skins even more meaningful.
