From October 18 to 27, 2013, Crowne Plaza West Hanoi Hotel will host the “Japanese Culinary Festival” featuring the participation of renowned Chef Yasuhiro Ohara from ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka Hotel, Japan.
The “Japanese Culinary Festival” is an activity aimed at promoting cultural exchange between Vietnam and Japan. Prior to this, the ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka Hotel in Japan also hosted the “Vietnamese Culinary Festival” from September 7 to 29, 2013, with the presence of Chef Nguyen Sy Hai, Deputy Head Chef of Crowne Plaza West Hanoi Hotel.
During the 10-day event, Lackah restaurant will present a rich à la carte menu featuring the most exquisite dishes from the Land of the Rising Sun. In addition to must-try dishes such as sushi, sashimi, eel, and various grilled dishes with teriyaki sauce, Chef Ohara will also introduce two specialties from his hometown, the coastal city of Fukuoka: Mizutaki chicken hot pot and Okyuto seaweed jelly.

With these two dishes, Chef Ohara hopes that all diners, whether they have or have not visited Fukuoka, will enjoy the most authentic flavors of the land where he was born and raised.
