Shoko Nakagawa faced backlash from many fans following her marriage announcement.
Renowned actress, voice actress, illustrator, and singer Shoko Nakagawa, also known as 'Shokotan', publicly declared on May 3 that she will marry a man unrelated to the entertainment industry. However, since then, she has experienced a significant drop in subscribers on her official YouTube channel. Nearly 10,000 subscribers have been lost as of now.
Nakagawa lamented on Twitter: 'Oh no, I've lost about 6 thousand subscribers on my YouTube channel!', and later added: 'However, my essence remains unchanged, so I will persist in my quest to reach 1 million followers. I hope to maintain my connection with all of you, and you will continue to support me!'
Regarding the continuous decline in channel subscribers, some users commented: 'Well, I think the reason is quite understandable', 'Now she'll be a married woman, and some users aren't interested in supporting her anymore', 'I guess they're disheartened because they no longer have a chance to marry Shoko Nakagawa'.
Additionally, there were more positive comments such as: 'Sad, but if it's true love and worth it, I don't see any problem ', 'She has captivated many men. Personally, I will always support her ' and 'No issue at all! I will never stop supporting Shokotan!'

Born in 1985 in Tokyo, Shoko Nakagawa made her debut in the entertainment industry in 2001 and has since enjoyed a multifaceted successful career. Even her official blog, launched in 2004, garnered over 100 million visits just two years later.
In the voice acting realm, she lent her voice to the character Suzuna Taki in the series Eyeshield 21 and made numerous appearances in various Pokémon movies and seasons. Nakagawa also made waves with her rendition of the opening theme for the anime Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, with the single titled 'Sorairo Days'.
