Participate in the 'Mango Harvest Festival' in Moc Chau
If you wish to marvel at Moc Chau during the mango season, and relish the experience of picking and savoring mangoes right from the orchard, do not miss the 3rd Mango Harvest Festival in 2016 held on May 29, 2016, at Nà Ka area, Pa Khen 1 village, Moc Chau town under the theme 'Mango of Moc Chau'.

Moc Chau is regarded as the largest mango plantation in the country, with mangoes abundantly cultivated in the areas of Moc Chau town and Tan Lap commune. Thanks to favorable natural conditions such as weather and fertile soil, Moc Chau mangoes exhibit superior quality, being crisp, aromatic, and succulent compared to mangoes from other regions.

The festival is organized with the objective of introducing and promoting Moc Chau's mango products, honoring mango cultivators, providing an opportunity for mango growers to network, learn, understand, and enhance their knowledge and experience in mango cultivation and care, and creating high-value products from Moc Chau mangoes.

According to the organizers, the Mango Harvest Festival in Moc Chau will feature 8 exciting activities including fruit picking contests, fruit presentation and tasting, educational sessions about Moc Chau mangoes, honoring outstanding mango growers, ethnic sports and games, camping competitions, mango exhibitions, tours of mango orchards, and cultural exchange activities.

As per information from the organizers, to enhance the tourist experience, they encourage locals and tourists to wear traditional costumes when participating in the festival.

Especially, festival attendees can join farmers in fruit picking activities and enjoy freshly harvested mangoes right in the orchards.

Furthermore, the Management Board of Moc Chau National Tourism Area has developed sample tours and supported some travel companies in organizing tours for sightseeing and fruit picking services at the Nà Ka mango orchard area, allowing tourists to pick and taste fruits for free. If desired, tourists can pick and purchase mangoes as gifts for their loved ones and families.
