After numerous speculations, the Galaxy A03s has finally been officially released at The Gioi Di Dong stores. This smartphone is an upgraded version of the Galaxy A02s, which made waves in the first half of 2021.
The new Galaxy A03s, along with a reasonably predicted price, is expected to be a thoughtful choice for Gen Z in the 3-4 million VND segment. Let's explore the highlights of the A03s in this article!
Immersive 6.5-Inch Display for Extensive Learning and Entertainment

The display is a top priority for young buyers when choosing a smartphone, and it seems that Gen Z increasingly prefers phones with large screens for a comfortable content experience.
The Galaxy A03s features a relatively spacious 6.5-inch display, designed with a borderless feel, ensuring a compact grip in the palm of your hand.

Equipped with a PLS LCD panel, the display offers commendable quality, wide viewing angles, and an HD+ resolution— all acceptable at this price range.
In today's scenario, online learning has become a daily routine. Therefore, Gen Z can opt for a smartphone with a large screen for better lecture observation if using a laptop or tablet isn't convenient.
More Battery Efficiency with Helio P35

Speaking of performance, the most significant difference in the Galaxy A03s compared to its predecessor is the upgrade from Snapdragon 450 to MediaTek Helio P35. This processor has also appeared in many device models in Vietnam.
After checking the benchmark scores of these two processors on various rating websites, it seems that the P35 outperforms slightly in overall efficiency, with the most noticeable difference in power-saving capabilities. This is attributed to the P35 being manufactured on the newer 12nm process compared to the S450's 14nm process.
Comparing Helio P35 and Snapdragon 450 Benchmark ScoresIn terms of performance, the Galaxy A03s smoothly handles basic calling functions, web browsing, and online learning on platforms like Zoom, Meet,... It can also run lightweight entertainment games.
The power-efficient chip, combined with a 5,000 mAh battery, leads me to believe that the A03s offers an impressively long usage time. Real-world tests by 24h Cong Nghe are currently underway and will be thoroughly updated in the detailed review. Stay tuned for more insights.
Finally, the default Galaxy A03s this year comes with 4 GB RAM and a relatively spacious 64 GB internal storage for seamless multitasking and storage needs.
Sufficient Camera Capabilities for Basic Photography

In terms of camera configuration, the Galaxy A03s offers a triple rear camera setup, including a 12 MP main sensor, a 2 MP telephoto lens, and a 2 MP macro sensor. On the front, there's a 5 MP selfie camera.
Looking at the specifications, we find a comprehensive set of Samsung's features such as portrait mode, super macro, beauty mode for selfies, and more. While I haven't explored it extensively, based on similar specs to its predecessor, I believe the A03s meets basic photography needs.

The 5 MP front camera resolution is sufficient for clear video calls with loved ones or online learning.
Familiar Design, Lightweight for Easy Portability

The Galaxy A03s maintains its design with a textured plastic back for a secure grip, minimizing the impact of sweat and fingerprint marks.
With a plastic back and frame, despite the sizable 5,000 mAh battery, the Galaxy A03s remains relatively lightweight at around 196g. Prolonged use for scrolling through TikTok or Facebook is less likely to cause hand fatigue.
Currently available in three color options—Blue, Black, and White—for you to choose from.
Another Worthy Option in the Affordable Price Range

Here, I've compiled the key highlights of the Galaxy A03s, which seem quite suitable for Gen Z. It boasts a large display, a 5,000 mAh battery for all-day use, and stable performance with the newer Helio P35 chip.
It's a bit unfortunate that the resolution stops at HD+ and the bezels are slightly thicker, but in Samsung's budget segment, additional demands might be challenging to meet.
Overall, the Galaxy A03s, priced at 3.69 million VND, is easily accessible for the younger generation. With just a 100,000 VND difference compared to the A02s with the same memory configuration (3.59 million VND), I think it's worth considering the upgrade to the A03s.
