The 6th Cultural, Sports, and Tourism Festival of the Khmer Ethnic Group in Kiên Giang Province is scheduled to take place from November 27 to 29, 2012, in Gò Quao district, Kiên Giang province.
This year, the festival is expected to attract over 26 delegations from various districts, towns, and cities within the province, as well as from the Hậu Giang and Bạc Liêu provinces.
Numerous cultural, sports, and tourism activities reflecting the rich Khmer culture will be organized, including contests such as creating beautiful Water Lily arrangements, Khmer cultural festivals, and sports competitions (rowing, dragon boat racing, three-leaf boat racing, Taekwondo competition, Khmer ethnic 11-a-side football tournament, Khmer ethnic volleyball tournament, etc.). Especially, the Khmer Art Troupe and the Kiên Giang Folk Opera Troupe will perform for the community on the nights of November 28 and 29, 2012.
