Always wish for a smooth journey? Prepare thoroughly and seriously! Know what to do and not to do before traveling to avoid funny and embarrassing situations. Especially, for the journey to be perfect and meaningful, let go of the following bad habits, as they might become a burden for each of us on the travel road.
1. Social Media
The best solution in this case is to temporarily set aside social media, while planning to travel and experience real-life. Take photos, shoot videos of the places you pass through but don't necessarily post them immediately on social media. You can do that when you return to the hotel in the evening or after the trip ends. This way, you may feel like you are truly 'living' without any constraints.
2. Smoking
This may sound unrelated, but smoking addiction or excessive smoking can be a hindrance. So, quit before deciding to travel the world, as many countries worldwide prohibit smoking in public places. You don't need to relieve stress by smoking on long flights because there are many other ways to help you quit this habit, like chewing gum, using patches, sleeping, or even using e-cigarettes! Although you can't smoke on airplanes, most airlines still allow you to use e-cigarettes.
3. Stop Swearing
Believe that you can comfortably swear with friends and family anytime, anywhere, but for most people from different countries, they will not agree with you. For some people, cursing or swearing at someone is truly rude, even uncivilized. Around you, there are many parents who will never allow their children to utter unpleasant words, especially in enclosed spaces like airplanes. Traveling is a great opportunity for you to meet people with different cultures, but it would be very inappropriate if you introduce the 'swearing culture' of your own country to international friends.
4. Stop Biting Nails
5. Know How to Spend
If you are a shopping addict, be careful! The most important thing is to know what your budget is and you need to be clear about this before every trip. Only then will you not be tempted by fleeting beauties and unnecessary luxuries. Spend money on meaningful things, and remember that everything you buy must be useful. Think carefully before deciding to buy anything, and also remember that some airlines charge for excess baggage weight!
