You might fancy the Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle. This is the last dragon kiln remaining in Singapore, where you can experience traditional pottery-making. To me, Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle represents a nostalgic and tranquil side of Singapore, rather than the usual hustle and bustle.
Question: How did you come across this 'hidden gem'? Was it through recommendation or self-discovery?
During my university days, I passed by Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle many times as my old school was right next to it. Although I was eager to visit, I never really had the chance - until the COVID-19 pandemic hit. In a way, the COVID-19 pandemic has spurred us to explore the country and city we live in.
Question: Is there any tourist activity at Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle that you would recommend to friends or #teamKlook?

You can join basic pottery classes on weekends. They also have more advanced classes - focusing on pottery wheel techniques - but you might need several weeks of learning to fully grasp it.
Question: Do you feel that local residents - like yourself - contribute to the appeal of Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle?
Most people who visit Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle share a common appreciation for traditional values; this contributes to the attraction of the place. There's always a very comfortable camaraderie among people with shared interests.

When you step into Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle, you can leave all worries behind. Time seems to pause here, making Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle truly unique. Despite Singapore's small size, it is rapidly advancing. I am grateful that somewhere in this city, there are still establishments preserving our cultural heritage. Hopefully, this 'hidden gem' will continue to shine bright for generations to come.

I believe that as the nation becomes more advanced and modernized, the younger generation in Singapore increasingly values their roots and traditional heritage. Because these are the very essence that always exists within us.
