“I've been drawn to their products, and they've also inspired my own work. Their creative storytelling has demonstrated compatibility with what Kojima Productions has been doing for the past 8 years. Now, we will create the Death Stranding movie together” – Kojima wrote in a press release about the collaboration between the two parties. He also affirmed that this film project won't just be a direct adaptation of the Death Stranding game but aims to be more than that.
“Our audience won't be limited to just game fans; the film will cater to everyone who loves cinema” – Kojima mentioned. “We're expanding the Death Stranding universe larger than ever before and can only achieve it through the realm of cinema.”
