Kong movie director returns to Halong Bay by seaplane
On the morning of May 9th, Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts flew by seaplane from Noi Bai Airport to Halong Bay, admiring the bay from above for 15 minutes before landing in Tuan Chau. Jordan collaborated with a television program to film footage on the seaplane and yacht in Halong Bay.

Despite visiting Halong Bay multiple times since arriving in Vietnam to scout locations for the blockbuster film, Jordan Vogt-Roberts still maintains his excitement on this first occasion. He even posted photos of Halong Bay taken from the seaplane and lunch in the middle of the sea on his personal page, attracting praise from fans.
On March 14th, Jordan Vogt-Roberts returned to Halong Bay with rapper Suboi after a year of shooting scenes here. He stated that this return shoot aims to convey the message to Hollywood that Vietnam has beautiful landscapes, serving as attractive filming locations for blockbuster movies.

At that time, Jordan Vogt-Roberts shared: “Halong Bay is truly a magical land, with majestic scenery, full of potential, enticing for directors, film producers.”
Director of the film Kong: Skull Island, Jordan Vogt-Roberts, has been appointed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the Tourism Ambassador to the UK and US since March, for a term of 3 years. During a meeting with the Tourism Department, Jordan mentioned plans to invite Hollywood directors to Vietnam for filming and to establish a short film team with his participation to promote tourism.
