In a recent investor note, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that Apple's Reality Pro represents the 'last hope' for the AR/VR market.

In his report, Kuo revealed that both Sony and Meta are encountering significant challenges in expanding their AR and VR market shares. Kuo stated: 'Meta's Quest Pro product lifecycle shipment is only about 300,000 units.'
Meanwhile, Sony is reportedly cutting around 20% of its production plan for the PlayStation VR2 headset in 2023. Additionally, China's largest AR/VR brand, Pico, saw sales in 2022 drop by over 40% compared to initial projections. With this information, Kuo predicts that the future of the AR/VR market hinges solely on Apple's Reality Pro.
According to previous sources, Apple's initial Reality Pro VR headset is expected to be a super high-end product priced at around $3,000. It will boast impressive specs, including a 'creative triple configuration' with two 4K Micro-LED displays. Apple is also developing a more affordable VR headset, but it's slated to only appear in 2025.
