Earlier this month, leaked information hinted that Apple exported a batch of iPhones valued at 1 billion USD (over 23.5 trillion VND) in just one month in India. Currently, CyberMedia Research has shared data on Apple's iPhone shipments in Q4 2022, covering the period from October to December last year.

As per the report, Apple India has manufactured 2 million iPhones in Q4 2022, maintaining an 18% annual increase. However, yearly shipments for Q4 have seen a 7% decrease compared to 2021. The flagship model has dominated, capturing a massive 59% market share in just three months after its launch. Following closely is the second model with a 32% share.
Apple has showcased its position even when entering a market that favors mid-range and budget-friendly products. This year marks their success in the Indian market, with an 11% growth in shipments compared to the same period last year, securing the highest market share ever at 5.5%. This achievement is attributed to local marketing and production efforts, as well as cashback and installment programs.

According to experts, Apple is anticipated to sell more devices in 2023 than in 2022. High demand for models exists, but supply chain limitations have affected Apple's performance.
However, robust marketing activities and festive season discounts have boosted the sales of older iPhone models, particularly driving the sales growth of iPhone 13.
Apple has set the goal of transforming India into its iPhone manufacturing hub. According to earlier reports, Apple plans to produce 20% of iPhones in India over the next 2-3 years.
