Currently, there are indications that Apple has embarked on the production of their new M3 chip, expected to be introduced either by the end of this year or early 2024. It is known that the Apple M3 chip will be manufactured by TSMC for faster processing speeds and significantly improved performance compared to the M2 chip.
Details on Apple M3 Rumors:
Similar to the M2 chip, the M3 chip is also equipped with an 8-core CPU and a 10-core GPU. As for the M3 Ultra, according to Gurman from Bloomberg, the base model is expected to have 32 GPU cores, with the higher-end variant potentially reaching up to 80 GPU cores.
Apple M3:
- Standard: 8-core CPU (4 high-performance cores and 4 power-efficient cores), 10-core GPU.
- Pro: 12 or 14-core CPU (6 or 8 high-performance cores and 6 power-efficient cores), 20-core GPU.
- Max: 16-core CPU (12 high-performance cores and 4 power-efficient cores), 32 or 40-core GPU.
- Ultra: 32-core CPU (24 high-performance cores and 8 power-efficient cores), 64 or 80-core GPU.
3nm Manufacturing Process
Currently, Apple Silicon chips are operating on a 5nm process, but according to numerous rumors, the M3 chip will utilize a cutting-edge 3nm process manufactured by TSMC. This new process could potentially boost the performance of Mac devices by up to 35% compared to the older 5nm process. It can be said that the M3 chip will be a new milestone for Apple in the chip market as this marks the first time they are changing their chip manufacturing process since the introduction of the Apple Silicon chip to consumers.![](https://img.tripi.vn/cdn-cgi/image/width=700,height=700/https://gcs.tripi.vn/public-tripi/tripi-feed/img/474473IDT/7234560_nhung-tin-don-moi-nhat-ve-apple-m3-tinhte-tuanhtran.jpg)

When will M3 be Unveiled?
When it comes to the introduction timing, there is a plethora of information, but the general consensus is that the earliest debut could be by the end of this year. Among the various sources, a particularly reliable piece of information comes from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. Gurman states that Macs featuring the M3 chip, including MacBook Air 13-inch, MacBook Pro 13-inch, and Mac Mini, are set to be unveiled in October (approximately one month after the launch of the new iPhone). As for the more powerful and advanced chips like M3 Pro, M3 Max, and M3 Ultra, their release is expected in 2024.
Recently, there have been rumors about the new M3 chip. Personally, I am most eager about the potential new iMac running on the M3. Furthermore, I believe the other M3 chips will generate a certain media buzz due to this transition marking Apple's first shift to the 3nm manufacturing process.
