1. Thuy Tien - Representative of Intellectual and Spiritual Power
The story of the beautiful Thuy Tien claiming the highest title at the Miss Grand International 2021 in Thailand still makes the online community proud and admiring.
Born in Ho Chi Minh City, she faced the unfortunate reality of her parents' divorce at the age of 4, living with her aunt until the age of 18. She studied French literature at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City National University. In 2010, Thuy Tien studied Tourism - Bachelor of Hotel Management - International Restaurants at Hoa Sen University.
After years of relentless effort to enrich her knowledge and conquer the pinnacle of beauty, there is much praise for the 1998-born beauty in terms of talent, beauty, and courage. Indeed, behind the achieved glamour is a long process of little-known efforts. Among many impressive responses and eloquence from Thuy Tien during the final night, one answer simultaneously serves as an inspiring message to the youth. Specifically, before the moment of announcing the winner, in the Q&A section about her experience at Miss Grand International 2021, Miss Thuy Tien shared: 'Frankly, at first, I didn't receive much support here, and now I'm standing at the top 2 of Miss Grand International 2021, that has proven my diligence. If you are diligent and focus on your goal, your dreams will come true. Start conquering your goals from now on, be diligent, and act for your dreams'.
Thuy Tien is a fitting example for young people to study and affirm that to achieve success is a long process combining many factors, and of course, diligence is always a top factor. Success is not natural; success comes to those who strive, dare to think, dare to act, and always have the belief to realize their dreams.

2. Angel Amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic
Ms. Gilbert, born in 1962 in the town of Kettering, Northamptonshire, Central England, discovered her passion for science while studying at Kettering High School. Graduating, she pursued biology at the University of East Anglia, then earned a Ph.D. in genetics at the University of Hull. In 1994, Gilbert joined the University of Oxford. Her career faced challenges when she gave birth to three children in 1998. After maternity leave, returning to research was difficult. “There were times I considered quitting scientific research,” she shared. Despite this, Gilbert persisted in her research. Returning to Oxford, she quickly advanced. In 2004, she became a lecturer and joined Oxford University’s Jenner Institute, a world-renowned research center, in 2010. Here, she had numerous opportunities to research vaccines. Gilbert led the Ebola virus vaccine trial in 2014. She also traveled to Saudi Arabia to develop a vaccine for MERS-CoV (Middle East respiratory syndrome).
When the Covid-19 pandemic erupted in early 2020, Gilbert believed it was possible to create a Covid-19 vaccine similarly to the MERS-CoV vaccine. Amidst the rising global death toll due to Covid-19, Gilbert and her research team at the University of Oxford raced against time to swiftly develop an effective weapon against the virus. In early April 2020, the first batch of the vaccine was produced. To conduct trials, Gilbert actively sought financial support from the UK government. Additionally, the research team reached an agreement with the renowned pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca to develop, manufacture, and distribute the vaccine globally. In the end, all the hard work paid off. After trial phases, the vaccine demonstrated excellent efficacy. According to WHO, the AstraZeneca vaccine meets the “must-have” criteria for safety and has superior efficacy with minimal risks. Subsequently, this vaccine was distributed to many countries worldwide, including Vietnam.
The successful development of the Covid-19 vaccine provided a chance to earn a substantial amount for Gilbert’s research team. However, Gilbert and her colleagues paid little attention to this. Their goal was to create a vaccine for humanity. She even chose to abandon the patent for the vaccine. “As the inventor of this vaccine, I could make a huge profit. But I refuse to take the patent for the vaccine. I don't want exclusive patent rights because I want to share this technology so that others can produce the vaccine.” Despite the relentless efforts of the research team, they set aside economic profits to prioritize bringing their scientific achievements to the public.

Karik - Surmounting Challenges to Live His PassionMalala was shot by the Taliban in early 2012 for daring to demand access to education for everyone. Since then, the Pakistani girl has astonished the world, consistently advocating for the education of children and the rights of girls worldwide, with unwavering courage and boundless passion.
In early 2008, Malala began her fight for educational rights. According to Toronto Star, her father led her to Peshawar to speak to a local press club. She addressed the crowd: “Why does the Taliban take away my right to education?”, revealing that she had hidden several textbooks in her clothes when going to school.
The brave Malala spoke to the crowd, declaring that she would represent the 57 million children worldwide denied access to education. “One child, one teacher, one book, and one pen can change the world,” she added. “Education is the only solution. Education must always be a top priority.”
Malala has both supporters worldwide and critics who accuse her of being a “mouthpiece of the West.” Addressing these allegations to the BBC last year, she said, “My father says that education is not Eastern or Western. Education is education. It is the right of all people.”
In 2014, Malala Yousafzai became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. In addition to the Malala Fund, she is also an author and a UN Messenger of Peace.
Throughout her youth, Malala has shown extraordinary strength and courage in the face of terror. Her efforts have strengthened her belief in a better, more equal world. Her voice has provided education for thousands of children and inspired millions of others. Malala Yousafzai is proof that age is meaningless in the struggle for what is right, that anyone can and should speak up to improve the world around them.

Volunteer Spirit in Green7. Volunteerism in Green Attire
For a long time, the green volunteer shirt has become a familiar image in life. The green shirt, a symbol of hope with the national flag on the left chest, not only honors the youth but also embodies the spirit and will to continue the ancestral traditions of today's generation in the endeavor to build and protect our homeland, our country.
The green volunteer shirts of university students seem to become more familiar and abundant during the University and College entrance exam season. Mentioning the green shirts is to recall the care, sharing, and enthusiasm for the community. Unafraid of difficulties, under the scorching heat of over 30 degrees in the summer, the exam support force is present at all assigned exam points to assist parents and students.
Most of these forces are young representatives of dynamism and enthusiasm. They are well-prepared with skills and information such as free accommodation, directions, bus routes, etc.
It's not difficult to see images of volunteers in green shirts guiding students. They do it with their hearts and the enthusiasm of youth. Some are even willing to accommodate candidates and their families or provide transportation for candidates to the exam on time during those exam days.
Perhaps the color of volunteer shirts is the color of vibrant life. If looking back at the distant past, there was the green of soldiers crossing thousands of rains of bombs and bullets, through the enemy's swords. Now, in the era of peace, national development, and integration, it is still the green shirt but the color of modern volunteerism, surpassing all paths, overcoming all difficulties, carrying love.

Pham Thi Thuy Duong (born in 1996), a former English major student at Thang Long High School (Lam Dong), never imagined studying and living in another country during her 18 years in Da Lat.
Through diligent study, she was admitted directly to university. Despite no prior preparation, she received a surprising full scholarship after applying to Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (Japan).
In 2014, Duong excitedly embarked on her journey to the Land of the Rising Sun. However, the initial joy quickly faded, and she had to face difficulties due to cultural differences and academic pressure.
Gradually overcoming challenges by participating in various extracurricular activities and different part-time jobs, Duong adapted, learned to balance, and planned her studies specifically.
However, by her final year of university, Duong was indecisive about whether to pursue further studies or work after graduation. Disheartened by a rejection letter from a Master's program at Thanh Hoa University (China), Duong decided to work first. Despite receiving a high-paying job offer from a Japanese company, she chose a one-year gap year. Returning home to focus on essay writing, contemplating research direction, and perfecting scholarship applications.
After a patient wait, at the end of 2019, Duong received a full scholarship for a Master's degree in Political Science and International Relations at Yenching Academy of Peking University, China. The university ranks in the top 20 according to the Times Higher Education (THE) and Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) world university rankings for 2022.
Having previously experienced studying in a multicultural environment, Duong quickly adapted to China. Yet, the girl from Da Lat was still overwhelmed as her class comprised outstanding students, commonly known as 'scholars,' in China. Additionally, the program at the prestigious Chinese university was demanding, requiring excellent research skills.
Despite these challenges, Duong's favorite aspect was the university's support and conditions for students to develop various research topics. The university also organized many field trips for students to survey the practicality of each research topic.
For instance, while researching immigrants in China, Duong went to Guangzhou to directly converse and interview Africans living and working there. These trips helped Duong form a habit of critical thinking, linking all her research to reality.
In 2020, the busiest time for Duong, she participated in teaching assistance for a professor in the U.S., prepared her Ph.D. application, and completed her thesis.
Once again, unexpected opportunities came to Duong when she received acceptance letters to become a Ph.D. student at the University of California, San Diego (U.S.) with financial support exceeding USD 290,000 for 5 years, and a full scholarship of 7 billion VND at the University of British Columbia (Canada) before graduating.
In July 2021, with impressive research achievements, Duong graduated with an excellent Master's degree with a GPA of 3.96/4, officially concluding her journey at the most prestigious university in China. 'Each country will bring different experiences, the more I learn, the more I realize how little I know,' Duong shared. She expressed her commitment to continue pursuing her academic passion to fulfill her dream of becoming a professor in International Relations.
