1. Who is Eligible for Phu Quoc Tourism Reopening?

According to the tourism reopening plan, Phu Quoc will welcome both domestic and international tourists starting from November. The eligible visitors will gradually expand according to the local tourism reopening schedule.

Domestic Visitors

From November 1st, Phu Quoc will open its doors to visitors from neighboring provinces classified as 'green zones' and those who have received the Covid-19 vaccine. Starting December 1st, Phu Quoc will extend its welcome to suitable markets with direct flights from Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Lam Dong, Da Nang, Hai Phong, and more.

Requirements for Domestic Visitors

Domestic tourists traveling to Phu Quoc by road must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or have recovered from the illness.Domestic tourists traveling by sea or air must also present a negative SARS-CoV-2 test result obtained within 72 hours.Children accompanying family members who are not vaccinated must provide a negative SARS-CoV-2 test result.Tourists visiting Phu Quoc must adhere to the 5K measures, complete health declaration, and scan QR codes as required.Foreigners living and working in Vietnam must comply with similar regulations.

Requirements for International Visitors

International tourists visiting Phu Quoc must have a certificate of full vaccination recognized by Vietnamese authorities; or a certificate of recovery from Covid-19.International tourists must provide a negative SARS-CoV-2 PCR test result obtained within 72 hours before departure.Children under 18 years old must provide a test certificate meeting the above requirements and are allowed to travel with their fully vaccinated parents or legal guardians as per regulations.International tourists must enter through chartered flights at Phu Quoc International Airport and have round-trip tickets.International visitors need to register for participation in the province of Kien Giang's proposed all-inclusive tour program offered by authorized travel agencies.International tourists visiting Phu Quoc must have medical insurance.Tourists visiting Phu Quoc must adhere to the 5K measures, complete health declaration, and scan QR codes as required.
