Measures for epidemic prevention when entering Taiwan
Although visa approvals have begun, the Taiwan government is currently limiting the number of arrivals to no more than 150,000 people per week. Starting from October 13, tourists over 2 years old will be provided with four sets of rapid Covid-19 tests and must be tested on the first or second day upon arrival. While not mandatory, tourists must self-isolate at their accommodation for 7 days. Rapid tests will be conducted every 2 days, and individuals will be allowed to leave if the result is negative. There is no need to declare health information or be monitored using devices such as phones.
Furthermore, independent travelers to Taiwan must purchase overseas health insurance before flying and strictly adhere to epidemic prevention regulations. If traveling in groups, individuals must not sit at the same table with locals and must stay in designated rooms throughout the trip. Large tour groups will be transported in sanitized, continuously cleaned private vehicles.
Moreover, authorities advise tourists to regularly use disinfectant spray, wear masks, wash hands, manage their health, and report any suspected Covid-19 symptoms.
