Clearly, the events organized by VNGGames and Riot for LMHT haven't truly satisfied gamers.
At the start of 2023, Riot and VNGGames officially took over and reissued League of Legends (LMHT) after the game parted ways with Garena. There was much discussion surrounding this, especially since Vietnamese gamers were accustomed to Garena. Many were excited about owning items and equipment at prices equivalent to global standards. However, shortcomings began to arise as the event seasons approached.

As known, Riot doesn't typically host major events where gamers can easily splurge money like Garena did before. Fundamentally, this publisher doesn't require players to top up their cards excessively to acquire outfits or items in the Store. Consequently, VNGGames couldn't provide players with as many benefits as Garena did in the past. This has long been a topic of much discussion in the Vietnamese LMHT community, especially following periods when Garena used to hold significant events like summer breaks, Mid-Autumn Festival, and upcoming holidays such as September 2nd Independence Day.

Recently, according to announcements from Riot and VNGGames, the publishers will have a promotion when topping up RP via Zalopay, valid until the end of September 5th. First-time RP top-ups via Zalopay will receive a 40% discount, up to a maximum of 100k VND. With the code QUOCKHANH0209, players will receive a 7% discount, up to 20k VND when topping up from 200k. Simply put, excluding first-time top-ups, Riot and VNGGames' promotion only offers a maximum discount of 20k VND for each player with a 200k VND package. This can be considered an extremely low figure.

Of course, this has led to frustration among Vietnamese LMHT players. Some even compare it to the Garena era when this publisher was famous for offering numerous benefits and events for players to top up money. Although it's understood that those benefits back then had no purpose other than to empty players' wallets, with the multitude of promotions and benefits, gamers felt justified in spending money.

The events organized by Riot and VNGGames are genuinely leaving many gamers feeling disappointed. While Riot has its principles, it's evident that this publisher is failing to establish the necessary connection and care needed to understand its customer base in the Vietnamese LMHT community.
