Every year, the world's strongest teams gather to compete, seeking to claim the championship trophy and moments of glory. After more than a month of intense competition and dozens of fiery matches, the LMHT 2023 final is set to take place between two names - T1 and Weibo Gaming. Both are not the top seeds of their respective home leagues - Weibo is the 4th seed of LPL, while T1 is the 2nd seed of LCK.

Notably, SKT emerged as the last hope of LCK from the quarterfinals, while all four LPL teams survived to the quarterfinals, making the global gaming community believe that LPL is too strong this year. However, T1 continuously showed that when facing Chinese opponents, they are the most reliable name. The team successively defeated LNG in the quarterfinals and then JGD in the semifinals to enter this year's LMHT final. Their opponent in the deciding match was Weibo Gaming, the team that unexpectedly defeated BLG in the semifinals with a 3-2 score to reach the championship match.
Once again, the 'Demon King' Faker proves himself. In three intense rounds with a total duration of only about 80 minutes, Zeus, Oner, Faker, Gumayusi, and Keria's T1 team secured a convincing 3-0 victory against Weibo Gaming. Faker and teammates didn't give Weibo Gaming any chance in the rounds, dominating the opponent completely to the extent that Weibo's top laner - TheShy, a renowned player with an aggressive playstyle - did not achieve a single takedown in the next 2 rounds.

With this victory, Faker secures his 4th World Championship trophy in his League of Legends career. It also brings a fantastic 2023 for this gamer, as he, along with the South Korean national team, clinched the ASIAD 19 championship in China a few months earlier. The only regret is that T1 finished in the 2nd position in both domestic LCK seasons; otherwise, Faker's 2023 would have been even more fulfilling.
