Riot is attempting to solve the 'K'Sante balance puzzle' by reworking the champion's abilities in the recent 13.20 update. The immediate impact is noticeable as K'Sante's win rate in the top lane significantly decreases. However, it seems these changes were a bit heavy-handed, leading Riot to make adjustments in patch 13.21 to keep K'Sante relevant without being overly dominant.
However, Riot's move unintentionally brings back the monster K'Sante once again, as this champion immediately becomes a dominating force in the top lane with perfect stats. According to statistics, K'Sante currently boasts a 50% win rate, despite being highly banned at 21.7%. This clearly reflects the fact that many League of Legends players 'fear' this champion and consistently prioritize a ban for him in solo queue. Some players even demand Riot to revert the changes in patch 13.21 to curb the dominance of K'Sante.
According to the descriptions of many gamers, K'Sante can completely sweep team fights, take down all opponents, and escape effortlessly due to having all the annoying effects of a top lane fighter. This goes completely against Riot's intentions with the skill adjustments to curb the dominance of this champion.
Perhaps, for Riot's game balance team, the K'Sante puzzle proves to be much more challenging than past champions like Aphelios or Zeri. In the recently released update 13.22, K'Sante received some adjustments to his Q ability; however, it's likely that these changes are still insufficient to make this champion more 'balanced' at the current moment.
